Fifty Shades Freed – E L JAMES

Fifty Shades Freed is the last in the trilogy by E L James.

When unworldly student Anastasia Steele first encountered the driven and dazzling young entrepreneur Christian Grey it sparked a sensual affair that changed both of their lives irrevocably. Shocked, intrigued, and, ultimately, repelled by Christian’s singular erotic tastes, Ana demands a deeper commitment. Determined to keep her, Christian agrees.

Now, Ana and Christian have it all–love, passion, intimacy, wealth, and a world of possibilities for their future. But Ana knows that loving her Fifty Shades will not be easy, and that being together will pose challenges that neither of them would anticipate. Ana must somehow learn to share Christian’s opulent lifestyle without sacrificing her own identity. And Christian must overcome his compulsion to control as he wrestles with the demons of a tormented past.
Just when it seems that their strength together will eclipse any obstacle, misfortune, malice, and fate conspire to make Ana’s deepest fears turn to reality.

This is the last book in the trilogy and really does wrap up the story. I would say this was the best of the three books but as you can see from reviews I have liked each book a little bit more from the last. As I think I said in my review of book two, either there is less sex in this book or you become immune to it! (My male friends still refer to these books as Lady Porn!!)

Everything you read about these books are still relevent, however, there is something so addictive to them that makes you want to read the next. Whilst Christian is hard to like because of his ways and view, he is still someone who grows on you and you can’t help but long for him to change (isn’t that what most women try to do to their man!)

So much happens in this book, many twists and unexpected turns but the ending is perfectly done and doesn’t leave you having to guess what happens next.

You will have heard many opinions of these books some positive and some negative but my suggestion to you is .. read them for yourself and make up your own mind. I glad I didn’t dismiss reading them as they are the ‘IT’ book. Each book gets better and you grow to love Christian – or maybe that’s just me!

I’m not ashamed to admit that by the end of the trilogy, I am a fan. Lets hope we get more of Christian Grey in the future – my life isn’t quite the same without him!!!

  1. Uh, oh, I think I may have to read now. 😉 x

  2. I totally agree with you, so sick of the hate. People should read it and make up their own minds, I enjoyed it too.

  3. I was the opposite way round – I liked the first book best and felt that I liked each subsequent one less. I hear another book is being written!

  4. I’ve been avoiding these books but feel I should take on board your advice about making up your own mind, Lou. Maybe I could take a tiny peek…..?

  5. Another great, authentic review Lou! You make it very easy for readers to consider whether they might be interested in a book or not.

Love all three books enough to read each more than once. As I am older it took me back to my youth and made me smile at my inner goddess.
